Police are hunting for the driver of an ‘unidentified’ vehicle after a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a crash East Devon on Monday afternoon (June 23). The emergency services were called to Colyford, East Devon, after a silver BMW, ridden by a man in his 60s, was involved in a crash with a white Peugeot 208 on the A3052, at Boshill Cross. Police said they were ‘particularly keen’ to hear from the driver of an ‘unidentified vehicle’ seen at the time of the crash. Dog walkers spotted walking pets in no-go Exmouth beach ban areas became abusive when challenged by council workers, it has been revealed. The district council said ‘friendly conversations’ struck up with the majority of dog walkers at the start of May’s beach ban resulted in ‘unacceptable verbal abuse towards officers.’ East Devon District Council (EDDC) said it could take action against the abusive dog walkers once it has identified who they are. Numbers of East Devon voters turning out to the ballot boxes amid the county elections has fallen while postal votes increased, it has been revealed. Voter turnout at the ballot box is down in the biggest district of Devon’s county-wide elections, writes local democracy reporter Bradley Gerrard. Figures for the nine divisions that make up the East Devon district show the percentage of voters has dropped in all but one. The biggest drop was witnessed in the Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton division, with a turnout of just 23.7 per cent, a steep fall compared to the 38.1 per cent turnout…
