    A fundraising appeal has begun to find the remaini A fundraising appeal has begun to find the remaining cash to buy seven-year-old Jaydi Hawker, from Seaton, an adapted bike.  The youngster was born with a condition affecting her growth and cannot ride a bike like other children her age.  The Children Today charity has donated £1,000, saying a bike for Jaydi would  allow her to ‘experience pure joy’.     East Devon and Exeter found poignant and unique wa East Devon and Exeter found poignant and unique ways to mark this year’s Remembrance Sunday, amid the coronavirus lockdown.  Doorstep tributes, socially-distanced wreath laying and painted pebbles were some of the ways the towns and villages paid tribute to the fallen.  Seaton care home residents wore their poppies and medals with pride, and in Honiton muffled church bells rang. Steve Gazzard, pictured, eight years ago began a crusade to sign up organ donors as a tribute to his daughter, Sarah Wright, who died aged 37, waiting for a lung transplant. 
Steve, who has signed up thousands of people to the transplant register, will shift his focus to fundraising for medical research once the ‘opt-out’ donor system comes into force in May 2020.
