Pandemic ends 2020/21 season for East Devon rugby teams

The 2020/21 rugby season for East Devon clubs is over. This is sad news for the likes of the Cockles (Exmouth RFC), Sidmouth RFC, Honiton RFC and Withycombe RFC. It follows the announcement that the Rugby Football Union (RFU) Council has made the difficult decision to cancel the Adult Competitive Leagues (Level 3 and below for Men, Level 2 and below for Women) for the 2020/21 season. Sidmouth Town Junior Vikings: Trio of teams in action on wet and windy Halloween

On what was an extremely wet and windy Halloween weekend, all but three of the Sidmouth Town Junior Vikings’ fixtures were postponed. The youngest of the teams who did manage to see some action were the Under-10s, who journeyed along the A35 to Axminster where two very good young sides awaited them.
