A new management team will lead Feniton Football Club into a new Devon and Exeter League Premier Division campaign. Held at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, Mazda Team Joest scored its second-straight one-two finish. Honiton Golf Club Seniors’ Section is staging its Texas Scamble Open on Friday, July 5. The contest open to players aged 60 or over on the day of the competition. The competition rules state those taking part must have a maximum handicap of 28 , less 10 per cent combined. Closing date for entries is June 14. Last month, the Middlehills club staged its Seniors’ Pairs Better Ball Stableford Competition. The next Seniors’ competition will be staged in September and is for the Henry Young Salver. A large contingent of Honiton trampolinists competed in the annual Griffin Association Friendly Novice Trampoline Competition, many coming home with award. They joined competitors from across East Devon and beyond at Strode College on June 10. Some of the ‘bouncers’ train at Leisure East Devon (LED) centres. In total, 51 of the competitors use LED facilities. They competed for individual and team medals. A total of 50 medals were brought home by local trampolinists. Axminster Town Football Club have lined up some terrific pre-season fixtures as they plan for life in the new South West Peninsula League Premier Division East. The Tigers, who report back for pre-season training on Tuesday, June 25 at their Tiger Way home, have booked in six warm-up games, with five of them being at home.
