A 44-year-old Seaton man charged in connection with a stabbing in the town has appeared before magistrates and remanded in custody.
Daniel Flynn, of Harbour Road, Seaton, appeared before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning (June 1) accused of wounding with intent, possession of a bladed article and making threats to kill.
Flynn was remanded in custody to appear at Exeter Crown Court on July 2.
Police were called to Seaton in the early hours of Sunday, May 31, following reports of a serious assault in Harbour Road, at around 1am.
An injured man in his 40s was airlifted to hospital and police made an arrest a short time later.
Harbour Road was closed by police while officers carried out enquiries in the town.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a serious assault in Harbour Road at around 1am.
“A man aged in his 40s was taken to hospital by air ambulance with stab wound injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
“The road was cordoned-off and there was a heavy police presence in the area while enquiries were carried out.
“A suspect was arrested a short time later.”
