The founder of a Honiton-based charity has hit out at ‘absolute lies’. Ottery’s Summer Mini Fest was hailed a hit as a fun afternoon, attracting a large crowd. The family fun, held on Saturday July 20 at Ottery St Mary Primary School, was to help raise funds for a new maths confidence-boosting programme to benefit all the pupils. The Year 6 children ran several stalls for their Apprentice-style business competition. The Beehive in Honiton is celebrating a milestone in its history with an open day. Being staged on Saturday, June 15, the fifth anniversary event aims to showcase everything the Dowell Street venue has to offer the local community. Local residents and community groups are invited to visit the purpose-built venue from 10am to 1pm. There will be plenty to see and do.
