Police arrest a man amid investigation into a roadside fight in East Devon where a woman driver was ‘aggressively’ followed and grabbed

Police investigating a roadside fight in East Devon, where a woman was grabbed, arrested a man on suspicion of stalking and criminal damage.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after it was reported on Saturday (September 5) a van drove aggressively behind a woman driving a car on the B3179 over Woodbury Common, until she was forced to pull over to let the driver pass.

A local man in his 40s was later arrested on suspicion of two counts of stalking involving fear of violence and criminal damage to a property – value under £5,000. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Investigating officers want to hear from anyone who saw the roadside row.
