Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a motorcyclist died after he was involved a crash with a supermarket delivery van in Exeter.
The emergency services were called to Pennsylvania Road at the junction with Stoke Valley Road on Sunday evening (July 5) after reports a Morrisons van and a Kawasaki motorcycle had crashed.
Police said the motorbike rider was fatally injured and died at the scene.
The uninjured driver of the van stopped at the scene, police said.
The road was closed for several hours while crash scene investigations took place.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and footage following a fatal road traffic collision on Pennsylvania Road at the junction with Stoke Valley Road in Exeter.
“Officers were called at around 5.10pm on Sunday 5 July 2026 to reports of the collision involving a Morrisons Mercedes Sprinter van and a green Kawasaki ZR 900 motorcycle.
“Sadly, the motorcycle rider – a man in his 30s from the local area – sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“His next of kin are aware and are being supported.
“The van driver was uninjured and stopped at the scene.”
The spokesperson added: “Officers from the roads policing team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.”
