At the recent end of season finals night for the Exeter table tennis league, there was success for some of the Ottery St Mary teams.
The Wolves team of Guillame Gaston, Marian Vasile, Sarah O’Leary and captain Jeremy Broad comfortably became Division two champions. It was a great season with Guillame, Marian and Jeremy all finishing in the top ten averages for the season.

There was further success when the Egrets team finished runners-up in Division three. The team under the captaincy of Mitchell Bellham including Blake Bellham, Dylan Reeve and Samuel Boorman are aged between 11 and 14 and most were taking part in their first season in the adult leagues.
Blake finished in the top ten averages as well as winning the Division three individual championship. He also qualified for the English schools national finals after winning the Devon event.

Jeremy Broad, Club Secretary said: “It has been a successful season for the club being able to put out six teams in the local league with two of them winning trophies.
“It was really pleasing to see the young Egrets team enjoy their first season in competitive table tennis and look forward to their future development. The club has seen numbers improve at practice sessions especially among the juniors.”
