A man was seriously injured after a car crash in East Devon on Tuesday afternoon (May 12), prompting police to appeal for witnesses.
The emergency services were called in the afternoon to the A377, at the junction of Brampford Speke, in East Devon, where a silver Seat Leon car crashed, leaving the driver, a man in his 60s, with life-changing injuries.
Police want to hear anyone with information about the crash, or with dashcam footage.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and footage following a serious injury collision on the A377 near Exeter.
“At 1.40pm on Tuesday 12 May 2026 we were notified of a single vehicle road traffic collision on A377, at the junction of Brampford Speke.
“The collision involved a silver Seat Leon.
“As a result of the collision, the driver – a man in his 60s – sustained life-changing injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.”
The spokesperson added: “The roads policing team would like to thank the public for their patience while an investigation was carried out at the scene.
“We are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision, especially those who may have dash-camera footage.”
