Police are investigating a serious crash in East Devon where a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries.
The emergency services were at the start of March called to a junction of the A35 near Axminster where a Triumph Bonneville motorcycle, ridden by a man in his 70s, was involved in a crash with a car.
Police said the road was closed for several hours while paramedics were at the scene with the motorcyclist, who was left with potentially life-changing injuries.
Investigating officers want to hear from anyone who saw the crash, or with dashcam footage.
A Devon and Cornwall police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision on A35, at Axminster, on Wednesday 4 March.
“Emergency services were called at around 3.30pm to the A35 at the junction with Lyme Road near Axminster, where it was reported that a collision had occurred involving a red Kia Nero car and a grey Triumph Bonneville motorcycle.

“The A35 was closed while emergency services safely attended to the casualty. It reopened around 6.30pm.”
The spokesperson added: “Officers from the roads policing team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.”
