A pensioner remains in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in an East Devon village on Tuesday evening (November 25).
Police are appealing for witnesses after a women pedestrian and a Renault Kangoo were involved in a crash at around 5pm in Common Lane, Beer, East Devon.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 80s from Beer, was taken to hospital with serious injuries said police.
The area was cordoned off while forensic officers examined the crash scene.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and footage following a serious injury road traffic collision in Beer.
“Officers were called at around 4.55pm on Tuesday 25 November to the Common Lane, Beer.
“It was reported that a collision had taken place involving a pedestrian and a Renault Kangoo vehicle.
“As a result of the collision, a woman in her 80s from Beer was taken to hospital with serious injuries.”
The force spokesperson added: “Officers from the roads policing team wish to thank the public for their patience whilst enquiries were conducted.”
