The Red Arrows and a host of aerial acrobatics have been confirmed for the 2025 Sidmouth Air Show as the line-up is announced.
Sidmouth Town Council confirmed the RAF aerobatic team the Red Arrows will headline this year’s air show on Friday, August 22, as part of the town’s regatta weekend.
Headliners The Red Arrows will have all eyes on the skies over Sidmouth when the RAF aerobatic team wows the crowds with synchronised flying, daredevil manoeuvrers and trademark coloured smoke, bringing the show to a close.

The family fun starts at around 4.30pm, kickstarted by the town’s lifeboat crew with an offshore display of what the rescue vessels are capable of at sea.
Skywards, returning air show favourite Rich Goodwin in his Pitts Biplane has an added extra this year – two ATM Lynx Jet turbines, delivering 700lbs thrust to his aircraft’s 8.5 litre Lycoming engine.

New to the air show for 2025 is AeroSuperbatics, a duo of professional wing walkers who will be strapped onto 1940s Boeing Stearman biplanes.
Strapped to the top wings, they will perform some breathtaking acrobatics, choreographed and energetic routines, plus close formation flypasts.

As in previous years, extra parking will be signposted on the day, in addition to the council car parks.
And a water safety zone will be in place, where boat users can watch the air display offshore, from a safe distance.

Christopher Holland, Sidmouth Town Council clerk, said: “Sidmouth air show is shaping up to be highlight of the year and is a fitting start to the Sidmouth Regatta weekend, which takes place from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August and includes sailing races, gig racing, surf life-saving and the return of the raft race with a grand musical firework display on the Saturday evening.
“The air show takes take place off the seafront on Friday 22 August from approximately 4.30pm, subject to weather and operation availability of the teams involved.”
He added: “In addition to the many usual council car parks, extra parking will be provided and signed on the day and the usual water safety zone will be enforced to enable watercraft to view from a safe distance.”
To help fund the air show, Sidmouth Town Council is appealing for ‘vital’ bucket collection volunteers, who can take donations and contactless payments from the public watching on the seafront, Salcombe and Peak Hills and Connaught Gardens.
Mr Holland said: They are a vital part of the air show team. Without them and donations from the public, the event could not take place.
