A driver and passengers were treated for minor injuries on Tuesday afternoon (May 10) after the car they were in was involved in a crash near Honiton.
The emergency services were called to Farway Common Road, near Honiton, shortly after 3.30pm after two cars, a Ford Fiesta and a Hyundai, crashed.
The main road at Farway, over the common, was closed in both directions for several hours, reopening at around 6pm.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the two vehicles were recovered from the scene during the afternoon.
The ambulance service and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service also attended, said police.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said: “We were called by the ambulance service at around 3:40pm on Tuesday 10 May with a report of a collision involving two vehicles on Farway Common Road, Honiton.
“The fire service attended at the scene and the collision involved a Ford Feista and Hyundai; driver and passengers sustained only minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
“The two vehicles were recovered later that afternoon and the road cleared just after 6pm.”
