Police in Exeter appeal for witnesses after balding burglar left empty-handed when he was disturbed

Police said a balding burglar who targeted a home at night near Exeter city centre left empty-handed after he was disturbed and fled.

Devon and Cornwall Police want to hear from anyone who might have seen someone acting suspiciously in the Blackboy Road area of the city at around 11pm on Sunday, February 27.

Police have described the culprit as being a white male, in his late 50s, about 5ft 10” tall, with an average to larger build, balding with short grey hair around the edges.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone in the area who has CCTV footage from that night.

Devon and Cornwall Police have warned Exeter residents to lock doors and windows.

A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information in connection with a report of burglary to a property in Blackboy Road, Exeter.

“This took place at approximately 11pm on Sunday 27 February, the suspect was disturbed and left, no items were stolen.”

The added: “Please can residents be wary of this and secure doors and windows at all times.

“We understand that this was some time ago but ask for anyone with information or CCTV in the area to please email or phone.”
