The air ambulance landed in a field next to an East Devon church on Friday lunchtime (November 19) after a crash involving a motorcyclist and car.
Residents of Broadclyst rallied to help the motorcyclist as he lay on the ground, covering him with a blanket and directing traffic until paramedics and police arrived following the collision on the junction of Church Close and the B3181, near Town Hill.

The air ambulance was requested by the emergency services, landing in the field next to St John the Baptist Church.
Police said the male motorcyclist was left with neck injuries and taken to hospital by land ambulance.
His injuries were not thought to be serious, or life-threatening, said police.
Traffic was slow-moving while the emergency services treated the casualty at the scene, and until the vehicles were recovered.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said: “Police were contacted at around 12:40pm today, Friday 19 November, following reports of a collision between a Audi and a Honda motorcycle.”
He added: “The air ambulance attended. The male motorcycle rider was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
“His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.”
