Police were called to the A3052 at Clyst St Mary, East Devon, on Wednesday morning (November 10) after a crash involving a pedestrian and van.
Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to the road at around 8am, and found a separate crash involving three vehicles.
Any injuries were not thought to be serious, police said.
Backed-up traffic was reported to be moving again before 9.30am, police said.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said: “Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian, on the A3052 at Clyst St Mary at around 8am today, 10 November.
“Any injuries are not thought to be serious.
“Three vehicles were involved in a separate road traffic collision at the scene.”
