Traffic police were called to a two-car crash on the A30 at Honiton on Thursday evening (October 28), where four people were injured.
Devon and Cornwall Police were said one person was potentially seriously injured and three other casualties had minor injuries.
Motorists were delayed while the casualties were treated and the vehicles were recovered from the scene, said police.
The road reopened shortly before 8pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 5.40pm to the A30 at Honiton following reports of a two-vehicle collision.
“One person sustained potentially serious injuries and three people sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
“The road was closed whilst the vehicles were recovered and reopened shortly before 8pm.”
