Honiton residents have been exploring the town’s new-look Aldi supermarket which reopened on Thursday (September 23) after a ‘significant’ refit.
The supermarket, in Exeter Road, closed for several weeks while the shop was updated inside, and the building extended.
The supermarket chain said the improvements had been made to make shopping easier for the town’s residents and visitors.
Sam Bensley, area manager, said: “The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available.
“Hopefully the new look store will make shopping at Aldi Honiton that bit easier and more comfortable.”
Customers were welcomed back from 8am, where they found a larger shop of 1,240 sqm retail space.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “The Aldi store on Exeter Road in Honiton reopened this morning at 8am, following a significant refurbishment and extension.”
They added: “The new format has been created to make shopping even easier for Honiton customers, with the store now having an additional aisle and clearer signs to make shopping effortless.”
