Exeter: Police appeal after pedestrian suffers ‘life-threatening’ injuries in crash with car in Pinhoe Road

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after a pedestrian suffered ‘life-threatening’ injuries in a crash with a car in Pinhoe Road, Exeter.

A man is in hospital in a critical condition following the incident on Friday, August 27, at around 6pm, say officers.

A force spokesperson said: “On Friday, August 27, at around 6pm, a collision has occurred on Pinhoe Road in Exeter.

“The collision involved a car and a pedestrian. As a result of the collision, the pedestrian has suffered life-threatening injuries. 

“Response officers from Exeter attended the scene and with the assistance of the South Western Ambulance Service the pedestrian was conveyed to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

“Anyone who witnessed this collision, or who may have been in the area with dash-cam footage, is encouraged to call 101 quoting reference number 0875 of the 27th of August 2021.”
