Exmouth Town Football Club have been drawn away to Southern League Premier Division Truro City in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
That mouth-watering prospect for Town came when they were drawn out as tie number 119 in the 121 tie draw, writes East Devon Sport editor Stephen Birley.
Indeed, Town were still in the hat with the likes of Salisbury City and Tiverton (they meet in tie 121), Bradford Town, Alton and Sholing, the latter two have to replay with the winners off to Sholing.
With Truro City this season ground-sharing with landlord Plymouth Parkway, it means that Exmouth Town will travel down the A38 Expressway to Plymouth for the September 4 tie.
As well as a place in the 2nd Qualifying Round, winning teams will bank a cheque for £2,250 with the losing side receiving £750.
Exmouth Town, having already won two FA Cup ties this season, have banked £2,569 so far; £1,125 for the Extra Preliminary Round win over Buckland Athletic and £1,444 for Saturday’s success against Southern League Bristol Manor Farm.
