Man injured in plane crash on tarmac at Dunkeswell airfield near Honiton

A man aged in his 60s was injured a plane crash on the tarmac at Dunkeswell airfield, near Honiton. 

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 2.55pm on Friday, August 20.

It is believed the incident involved two light aircraft – with one ending up on top of the other.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch has been informed of the incident.

A man aged in his 60s sustained injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-changing and was taken into the care of paramedics…

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police were contacted by the ambulance service with a report of an aircraft crash on the tarmac at Dunkeswell Aerodrome, near Honiton, at around 2.55pm on Friday 20 August.

“A man aged in his 60s sustained injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-changing and was taken into the care of paramedics.

“No other injuries have been reported.

“The Air Accident Investigation Branch has been informed.”
