Nature photographer Paul Clayden captured these stunning images of otters playing in the river near Sidmouth.
Paul, a freelance and event photographer, was lucky enough to spot the creatures hunting for fish in the water, and watched them for around an hour as they played together.
The photographer, from Sidmouth, regularly takes his camera along to some of East Devon’s beauty spots in the hope of snapping wildlife and birds in their natural habitat.
He took these photos of the otters during the morning at the end of May as they splashed around in the river a short distance from his home.
