Exeter: Man, 40, is charged with attempted murder after alleged assaults

A 40-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to two alleged assaults in Exeter.

Dwayne Huggins, of Old Tiverton Road, near the city centre, was due to appear before magistrates sitting in Exeter on Wednesday, May 12.

Devon and Cornwall Police launched an investigation after a man and a woman, aged in their 30s and 20s respectively, sustained serious injuries in an alleyway in the Barberry Close area of Whipton, Exeter, on May 6.

The man remains in hospital in a stable condition, said police.
