Firefighters free person left trapped in Seaton toilets by faulty lock

A toilet user in Seaton had to be rescued by firefighters after becoming stuck in public loos because of a faulty lock.

Crews from the town were called to the seafront conveniences in Castle Hill at around 9.50pm on Friday, May 7.

They used small tools to free the trapped person.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Seaton fire appliances attended and released one person who was stuck in the public toilets due to a faulty lock.

“Small tools were used.”
