The seven-year-old gained a further award, presented by her school, for reading a total of 250,000 words.

An Ottery Library spokeswoman said: “The staff at Ottery Library have all enjoyed hearing about the books that Tiana has read – both in person at the beginning of her BookTrack journey and then via e-mail during the pandemic.”

Keen reader Tiana completed the challenge over lockdown, sharing tales she read with library staff in person when Covid-19 restrictions allowed, and also by email.

She told library staff she had ‘really liked’ reading books by Dr Seuss and There’s a Snake in My School, by David Walliams.
