Police investigating verbal abuse in Honiton seek man ‘to help with enquiries’

Police investigating an alleged public order offence in Honiton at the end of last year have released a photograph of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident. 

It is believed to have taken place on the corner of New Street and High Street at around 7.15pm on November 9, 2020.

Police believe the man in the photo could have information to help officers investigating the allegation.

Investigating officers received reports of a stranger approaching a man, who verbally abused him.

Police are keen to learn the identity of this man.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said: “It was reported that a male victim was approached by a stranger and verbally abused.

“Police investigating the incident would like to identify the man pictured as they believe he may be able to assist with their enquiries.”
