Stuck puppy saved by Exmouth firefighters after dog got wedged between house and fence

Firefighters came to the rescue of a Staffordshire bull terrier puppy that got stuck between a house and a fence in Exmouth.

A crew from the town was called to help the young dog in Byron Way, Brixington, just after 4pm on Friday, February 12.

They used small tools to free the pet, which was uninjured.

A Devon and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “One appliance from Exmouth was mobilised following a report to the Fire Service Control Room of a dog stuck between a house and fence.

“On arrival at the scene crews used small tools and released a Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy from between the fence and house.

“The puppy was uninjured.”

Plans for 303 homes in Exmouth are approved as part of scheme featuring land for new school and employment and commercial use
