Police called to man’s body found in Exeter woodland say death ‘not suspicious’

Police were called to woodland at an Exeter park after the body of a man was discovered on Friday morning (January 8).

Officers were called at around 9am after the body of a man in his 20s was found at Mincinglake Valley Park, linking the Beacon Heath and Pennsylvania areas, Exeter.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the man’s death was not being treated as suspicious.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at around 9am on Friday 8 January with a report that a man’s body had been found in woodland at Mincinglake Valley Park, in Exeter.

“A man in his 20s was declared deceased at the scene.

“His next of kin have been informed.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious.

“A file is being prepared for the coroner.”
