Police urge livestock owners to ‘make checks’ after sheep found on road near Colyton

Police received reports of sheep loose on the road in the area of Colyford, near Colyton, on Tuesday lunchtime (December 8) at around 1.45pm.

Devon and Cornwall Police urged farmers or smallholders in the area to check their livestock and fencing.

A police spokesperson said: “We received a report of sheep being loose on a road in the area of Colyford, Colyton at approximately 1.45pm on Tuesday 8 December 2020.

“Please can owners make checks.”

Anyone with information about the animals is asked to call police on 101, quoting log 463 8 December 2020.
