Sidmouth Netball Club U11s return to action for the first time since Christmas

Sidmouth Netball Club is delighted that its Under-11s are back in action, writes Clare Johnson.

Having spent the last three weeks training, the ladies and juniors – year seven age and above – this week it was the turn of the Under-11s to get back on court.

Having not played since Christmas they were understandably thrilled to be the team chosen to go indoors.

Our Covid-19 officer Sandra Parnell conducted a thorough risk-assessment ensuring that all training was conducted under Covid-secure conditions.

The good news is that, by opening all the doors, there is plenty of ventilation for training to proceed.

The bad news is that, although it’s dry, it was a little chilly!

Thankfully, plenty of running around meant that sweatshirts were soon discarded, and all the girls worked hard under the guidance of our ever-resourceful coaches Louise Hastie and Sandra Parnell.

The club is thrilled to once again provide girls in years five and six the opportunity to play netball.
