‘Posh pizza’ firm sets sights on shut bridal shop in Exeter city centre

A shut bridal shop in Exeter city centre could be turned into an eatery serving up ‘posh’ pizza, if a licensing application is successful.

Posh Pizzas Exeter Ltd has applied for a new premises licence for 93-94 Fore Street, writes Local Democracy Reporter Daniel Clark.

The building was formerly occupied by Prudence Gowns until it announced its closure last month.

Permission is being sought to play recorded music and sell alcohol inside the premises between 9am and 11pm Monday to Wednesday; 9am to 1am Thursday to Saturday; and from 10am to 11pm on Sundays.

Late-night refreshments would also be offered from Thursday to Saturday between 11pm and 1am.

Anyone wishing to make a representation against the premises licence must do so in writing by emailing licensing.team@exeter.gov.uk by September 15.

A change-of-use planning application would also need to be submitted and approved by Exeter City Council before any restaurant can open. The existing use of the site is for retail.
