Pedestrian taken to hospital with leg injuries after car crash in Exmouth

The air ambulance landed in Exmouth on Sunday afternoon (August 2) after a crash involving a car and pedestrian.

Police and paramedics were called to Cheriswood Avenue at 2.30pm, where a female pedestrian was taken to hospital with leg injuries.

The injuries were not thought to be serious, said police.

The Devon Air Ambulance landed on a football pitch at St John’s playing field, close to the crash site.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 2.30pm to Cheriswood Avenue on Sunday 2 August following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

“The female pedestrian was taken to hospital with leg injuries, which are not believed to be serious, life-threatening or changing.”
