Motorbike destroyed in accidental Exmouth fire

A motorbike was destroyed by fire in an accidental blaze in Exmouth last night (Saturday, July 18).

The alarm was raised at around 7.35pm.

A crew from the town found the vehicle ‘well alight’ and tackled the flames with a hose-reel jet.

The fire service has not said exactly where in the town the incident took place.

The crew reported the vehicle was well alight…the motorbike was completely destroyed by fire and the cause is accidental…

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Fire control received a call reporting a motorbike on fire.

“One fire engine from Exmouth was quickly mobilised to the incident and, on arrival, the crew reported the vehicle was well alight. The crew used one hose-reel jet to extinguish the fire.

“The motorbike was completely destroyed by fire and the cause is accidental.”
