Bath bombs made with love during lockdown were sent to families and friends by residents from a Budleigh Salterton care home.

Pensioners living at Pinewood Residential Home, in Victoria Place, Budleigh, had a virtual craft session, learning how to make bath bombs by watching a video made by Exmouth party business, Mrs Snuggles.

Residents sent their creations and a personal message to loved-ones, who they had not seen since the start of lockdown when all care homes closed their doors to stop the spread of coronavirus.

The bath bomb session was made possible thanks to a video-led craft session.

Philip Sadeghi, Pinewood Residential Home director, said: “All the team here at the home have been working so hard and have been pulling out all the stops to keep our residents safe and entertained.

“We know how important it is to support local businesses at the moment and this was the perfect opportunity to do just that and provide a great afternoon for our residents too.

“It was such a fun and creative time for all of us. We all loved getting stuck in and creating some amazing bath bombs, the smell was divine.

“After the session, the residents wrapped up their bath bombs and sent them to their loved ones with a personal message. It really made everyone smile.”
