Man seriously injured in crash involving motorcycle and tractor on A35 near Honiton

A motorcycle rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries after his bike was involved in a collision with a tractor on the A35 near Honiton.

Emergency services were called to a stretch of the road at Tower Cross at around 5.45pm yesterday (Tuesday, June 16).

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.

The male motorcycle rider was taken to hospital in Exeter with serious injuries which are not life-threatening.

The road was closed whilst a full scene examination was conducted…

A force spokesperson said: “At approximately 5.44pm on Tuesday 16 June, police attended a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision, involving a motorcycle and a tractor, at Tower Cross on the A35, Honiton, in East Devon.

“The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to the RD&E Hospital with serious injuries, which are not life-threatening, and his next of kin have been informed.

“The road was closed whilst a full scene examination was conducted.

“Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended and are now appealing for witnesses, those who may have seen the collision, or either vehicle prior to the collision, or who may have dash camera footage, to contact police, quoting log number 660 of 16/06/20.”
