Fire crews tackle garage blaze in Exeter in early hours of the morning

Fire crews from Exeter were called to tackle a garage blaze in Alphington in the early hours of Monday morning, June 15.

Firefighters from Danes Castle and Middlemoor fire stations were sent to The Halt, in Alphington, Exeter, shortly before 1am, where they found a garage attached to a house was on fire.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival crews confirmed a fire in a garage attached to the house.

“The fire was extinguished and incident dealt with by fire service personnel using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one safety jet and a thermal image camera.”
