Police appeal after cyclist ‘exposed himself’ to woman on path from Exmouth to Budleigh Salterton

Police have launched an investigation after a bike rider ‘exposed himself’ to a woman on a cycle path between Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton.

Officers have issued a description of the suspect and appealed for information following the incident on Monday, June 1.

It happened between 9am and 10am on the former railway line near Knowle.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said this afternoon (Wednesday): “Police are investigating an incident of indecent exposure which occurred on the Exmouth to Budleigh Salterton cycle path.

“Between 9am and 10am on Monday 1 June, a male cyclist exposed himself to a woman who was walking along the former railway line path near Knowle.

“Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and have bike camera or mobile phone footage that could help them identify the suspect.

“The suspect is described as being white, in his early 20s, of muscular build, with brown hair which has a sweeping fringe.

“He was wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and trainers and was riding a grey or dark-coloured mountain bike.”
