Police appeal after motorcyclist is seriously injured in Exeter crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle crash in Exeter which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

Emergency services were called at 10.40am on Saturday (May 16) following a collision between a Skoda Fabia and a Kawasaki motorcycle in Rydon Lane, at the junction with Old Rydon Lane.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 20s from Exeter, sustained life-threatening injuries. He remains in Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, said Devon and Cornwall Police.

The female car driver did not sustain any injuries.

The road was closed for six hours while a forensic investigation was carried out at the scene…

A force spokesperson added: “Local officers, as well as officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team and Serious Collison Investigation Team, attended the scene.

“The road was closed for six hours while a forensic investigation was carried out at the scene.

“Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and would like to speak to the driver of a large grey panel van who may have seen the collision.
