Air ambulance called for injured railway worker who fell into undergrowth at Honiton

A railway worker who fell into undergrowth at Honiton on Friday morning was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Hayne Lane, Honiton, at 7.30am on May 15, where they found the casualty after a short search of the area.

He had fallen into undergrowth but was away from the train track, police said.

The Devon Air Ambulance landed to help with the casualty, said Devon and Cornwall Police.

A police spokesman said: “‘Police received reports at 7.30am that a railway employee had fallen down a bank and was injured near Hayne Lane, Honiton.

“The man was located after a short search and has suffered a suspected broken leg.

The air ambulance landed to assist with the casualty.”
