Cat-astrophe averted! Sidmouth firefighters rescue pet with head stuck behind radiator

Firefighters from Sidmouth were on Monday lunchtime called to rescue a pet cat with its head stuck behind a radiator.

When the fire crew arrived at the Higher Woolbrook Park home shortly before 2pm today (April 20) they found the cat trapped behind a large radiator.

Firefighters freed the pet and it was returned to its owner, said Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

A fire service spokesman said: “The cat was stuck behind a large radiator.

“We lifted the radiator from its fixings and the cat was free.”
