Propane gas cylinder fire at Stockland tackled by Honiton and Taunton crews

Firefighters from Honiton and Taunton were called to Stockland on Friday lunchtime (April 3) after a gas cylinder caught fire.

The fire crews were mobilised shortly before 1.30pm along with the Environmental Protection Unit from Taunton, and extinguished the fire and made the area safe.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival the crews confirmed that there was one propane cylinder well alight and got to work with a hose reel jet and a main jet.

“Fire crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel and a main jet and made the area safe.”
