Police arrest man seen spraying liquid at Exmouth train station

British Transport Police have arrested a man seen spraying liquid around at Exmouth railway station this morning (Thursday, March 19).

Officers were called to the station shortly before noon after being told a man was spraying a substance onto tables.

Police said no one was injured and enquiries were ongoing into what was sprayed onto property and into the air.

A British Transport Police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to Exmouth station shortly before 12pm today following reports that a man was spraying a bottled substance into the air and onto tables.

“The man has been arrested in connection and taken to custody.

“No one suffered any injuries or side effects.

“Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and the nature of the substance.”
