Developer donation gives boost to Exmouth pupils’ school library on World Book Day

A developer donation given to school children in Exmouth on World Book Day will pay for more stories to stock the library.

Taylor Wimpey gave Littleham Primary School, in Exeter Road, Exmouth, £100 to mark World Book Day, plus copies of a children’s story, How We Build Your Home, for the library.

Katie Gray, Littleham Primary School headteacher, said: “World Book Day is a fantastic initiative which really encourages children to develop their reading.

“Thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s donation, we’ll be able to add some new books to our library and we can’t wait for our pupils to get stuck into some new stories.”

Melissa Langton, spokeswoman for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “We were delighted to support Littleham Primary School with a donation to mark World Book Day.

“We hope the pupils had a brilliant day celebrating their favourite characters and that they all enjoy reading some new books together.”
