Boy, three, seriously injured in collision in Exeter supermarket car park

A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was hurt in an Exeter supermarket car park on Sunday afternoon.

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a car and a young child in Morrison’s car park, in Prince Charles Road, near Beacon Heath.

Police said the three-year-old’s injuries are not life-threatening, or life-changing, and no arrests have been made.

The driver of the car was uninjured, said police.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said officers were called to the supermarket car park shortly after 1pm on February 23.

He said: “Emergency services attended the scene and a young boy was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with serious injuries.”

Officers have been examining the scene and are keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
