Police seize uninsured car spotted driving around Axminster

A car was seized by police in Axminster after it was discovered the vehicle was being driven without tax or insurance.

Officers stopped a motorist as they drove around the town on the morning of Wednesday, February 19.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the car had been seen on the highway and driver had been behind the wheel without an MOT, insurance or tax.

PCSO Christopher Bolsover, of Axminster neighbourhood police team, said: “At around 9.30am the Axminster neighbourhood police team stopped a vehicle in Axminster.

“There was no insurance or MOT and the vehicle was seized.

“The driver was reported for various offences, including driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, no MOT, no insurance and no tax.”
