Mixed results for Honiton Bowling Club’s national and county players

This week Honiton Bowling Club Ladies had a mixed bag of results when they took on teams at national and county levels.

Last week Honiton was on ‘top form’, winning all five of its matches.

February 9-February 15, 2020.

This week Honiton Ladies played two County matches and a National match.

In the County Ladies Lane match Honiton played Isca this week Honiton won (76-63) so gaining 6 points with Isca 4 points.   Top rink J Richardson, V Kille, C Armitage (32-12)

The County Ladies Foxlands match saw Honiton lose to Plymouth (66-100).  Honiton 2 points Plymouth 8 points. Top rink B Maynard, A Hillyear, P Whitworth, Y Rayner (25-17)

Honiton Ladies lost their National Mason match against Isca (25-37)

Bowlers from Feniton visited Honiton to play a  Mixed Friendly match the final score being a draw (49-49)  Top rink M Tyne,  M Granger, D Broughton, G Osborne (23-10)

February 1-February 8, 2020

Honiton Bowlers were on top form this week winning all five matches played.

Taunton Vivary visited Honiton to play a Mixed Friendly Match with Honiton winning (45-26).

Top Rink for Honiton was D Roberts, M Granger, R Chapple and A Hillyear (22-12)

In the second Mixed Friendly match Chardstock visited Honiton. Honiton winning (94-47)

Top rink E Richardson, J Broom, B Cann and G Osborne (32-6)

Honiton Ladies played two Friendly Triples Matches at home.  The first was against Axminster with Honiton winning (56-41).  Top rink Y Williams, J Broom and H Chambers (24-10). The second match was   against Madeira with Honiton winning (58-41).

Top rink E Fielding, J Broom and M Bright (24-13)

Honiton Men were also in action this week when they travelled to Sidmouth to play a Friendly Triples Match.  Honiton winning (72-36).  Top rink R Chapple, D Young, G Osborne (26-9)
