Sandbags are available for Sidmouth residents whose homes may be at risk from flash flooding.
Sidmouth Town Council said empty sandbags for filling can be collected from its offices during week day opening hours, 9am until 1pm, and from the yard at Woolcombe House, in Woolcombe Lane, at the weekend.
The sandbags are being offered ahead of this weekend’s predicted Storm Dennis.
Christopher Holland, Sidmouth Town Council clerk, said: “With further storms forecast this weekend, Sidmouth Town Council area residents who think they may be at risk of flash flooding are reminded that empty sandbags can be collected from the Sidmouth Town Council offices during office hours.
“Flood advice is to be prepared and not wait until it is too late.”
