An Italian restaurant in Newton Poppleford which has been closed for almost two years has gone on the market.
La Rosetta, on the A3052, has been run as a licensed Italian restaurant for around 40 years until it closed in April 2018.
Agents Stonesmith said the ground floor restaurant premises is being offered by way of a nil premium lease. Alternatively, the property freehold – with a two-bedroom flat upstairs – is available with a guide price of £225,000.
The premises has a main restaurant in two areas, a commercial catering kitchen and off-road parking for staff to the rear.
A spokesperson for Stonesmith said the restaurant closed in April 2018 ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’.
The agent said: “Currently closed, the premises previously traded as a licensed Italian restaurant and the sale offers a unique opportunity to purchase a catering premises with the potential for incoming operators to develop their own style of trade to suit their own requirements.”
The agent said the premises would be ‘a blank canvas opportunity’ for a new owner to develop the style of trade to suit their own needs.
The spokesperson said the premises had opportunities for alternative catering uses or even retail and commercial uses, subject to the necessary consents.
