Exmouth man taken to hospital with serious injuries after motorbike crash

A man in his 50s from Exmouth was taken to hospital with serious injuries after his motorcycle crashed at Whiddon Down.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the man had been travelling on the A3124, towards North Tawton, on Saturday, February 8, shortly after 1pm, when his motorbike left the road.

Police said enquiries are ongoing and have launched an appeal for witnesses.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Initial investigations indicate that a motorcycle has left the carriageway on the nearside.

“The male rider, a man in his 50s from the Exmouth area, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

“No other vehicles are believed to be involved and enquires are ongoing.”

Witnesses, and anyone with information, are asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 409 08/02/20.
